Lap around the Daytona International Speedway

Took the 73 to the Spring Turkey Run car show this weekend and got to take a lap on the speedway. They wouldn't allow us to go very fast, but still very cool to do.

Re: Lap around the Daytona International Speedway

We did that a couple of times at Talladeegga a few years a go in my wife's Malibu convertible ,got up to about 100 which was pretty fun. A friend who we were with passed the pace truck but he got one hell of a lap before they reeled him in .

Re: Lap around the Daytona International Speedway

The Power Tour pace car ran at 80 MPH around the 7/8ths mile Iowa Speedway in 2010 when it started in Newton, IA. Very fun!!!

Downlowhoe, love your truck! I've been back and forth on my white rallies with the center cap, or going 15x8/15x10 white steelies with the GMC center caps... I love the look of both!!!

Thanks man! I really dig the look of the factory steelies with the caps. I'm running the original 6's up front with 8's in the back. Going with 8/10's in the near future.

Too cool. I see someone all grins in the middle. Nice picture, perfect man-cave fodder.

Re: Lap around the Daytona International Speedway

The only thing missing there is the wild smoky burnout after crossing the finish line.
