instrument cluster swap question
For my LS swap into my '80 C10, I'll be using an instrument cluster from a '90 Suburban with the electric speedometer. I've found the pin outs' for the '90 and '80 clusters, so I know what pins to move around and/or reconnect. Do I have to use the temp/oil pressure sensors from the '90 Suburban or can I use the sensors from the '80 C10? The '90 sensors are three pin sensors, whereas the '80 sensors are single blade. Thanks

Re: instrument cluster swap question
I used single wire sensors in my 87 crew ls with 90 burb cluster. Its been a couple years but i don't remember there being any major wiring differences between the two besides some repining.

Re: instrument cluster swap question
For the temp sender use the 98-02 firebird sender, it has 3 wires, get the pigtails too, not hard to find, take the two wires from the factory harness plug and put them in the 3 wire plug then use the 3rd wire and connect it to your green factory truck harness wire and the factory gauge is ohmed right.
