Manual transmission ID?
Hi Guys
Looking to find out what gearbox I have in my 59 Apache. Its a 4 speed manual with the following codes.... D248 5 GM 591953 691701 GM7 Hope to hear from some of you Cheers Mike |

First gear = burnouts or stump removal. 2&3 are "regular" and 4th is 1:1.

Put that trans in front of a dual range transfer case and you'll need to accelerate to keep pace with parades.... but you can pull a house while doing it.
