20,000 mile 63 c20 ebay(not mine)

Or so it says anyway. To me it smells of an exterior repaint, but it's still darn nice and I'd be proud to have it.

The more I look at, the more I think you're probably right. The paint just seems a bit shiny for 50 + year old lacquer, and that dealer emblem on the tailgate looks modern, but other than that the rest of it looks very legit.

It had to have been stored inside. And I think that trucks were painted with acrylic enamel.

Re: 20,000 mile 63 c20 ebay(not mine)

This truck needs to be added to the "most original in existence" thread. Great reference material. It definitely looks like a 20K to me. It appears the engine was cleaned with a harsh degreaser, looks bleached out. Should have had Sodly clean it up, the 292 green should look like his 327 green. 15" lock ring wheels (16" did not exist in '63) hubcaps and mirrors are correct, all contribute to the original character of the vehicle

I hope whoever buys it keeps it the way it is. That truck needs to be in a museum.

Sad someone went to town on that engine with a power washer and degreaser like that...bleached it out pretty bad. :-(

That tailgate dealer logo is from Copple Chevrolet Louisville, NE but that wasnt the selling dealer back in 1963. Copple's bought out Berner Chevrolet back in the 70's. That truck probably was from a local Cass County farm from that area.

I hope whoever buys it doesn't ruin it by putting a v8 in it or chopping it. That's one sweet truck to be cleaned up and left as is.

I hope not also, but I have to think that if someone paid that much for an original truck it's likely going to stay that way. If one wanted to make a hot rod you can find trucks for a lot less to do that to.

That truck went cheap, stupid cheap! I honestly thought that truck would bring about five G's more. No way you could duplicate that quality in a restoration effort even if spending twice the selling price ....and this one is all original!

I wasn't sure what it was going to sell for. I was mostly thinking it wouldn't hit the reserve, even though I had no idea what it was. I'd have to agree with you and say it was well bought.

I agree, someone got a great deal. According to the listing, it was an estate sale situation, I'm assuming the owner was not into collector cars, just trying to settle assets of the estate as quickly as possible, not holding out for ( in the ballpark ) NADA prices.
