1982 25 gallon fuel tank

Hello, I was wondering if anyone ran this? I assume that the sending unit hole would have to be modified? But would this work In a 64 web fleetthat will be dropped about 8" in the rear

Those hang low. So low as to be visible from a side view of the bed.
