Re: How to go about this
Thats most likley a flex fuel sensor. You can just eliminate it, but just dont try running e85 in it when you're done.

Re: How to go about this
that is a flex fuel sensor and a fuel filter. there is no regulator there. pretty sure on the truck systems the regulator is right up on the rail on the intake manifold.
you dont need that if you dont want it. just leave it out and tell whoever is tuning your computer to turn it off. |

Re: How to go about this
Hope you have a competent tuner that knows to zero out the flex fuel modifier tables as well as the codes for it. Also the injector tables are different than a non flex vehicle. He needs to use a flex file and just kill the codes as well as zero the tables. Use a non flex file and your fuel trims and other settings wil mess with drive ability along other things.
The easiest thing would be to just leave the sensor in there as all fuel has some alcohol in it and let the sensor do what it's designed to do.

Re: How to go about this
04 and up is returnless and regulator is in the tank. Aknova is right, if you don't have a good tuner or know what your are doing, just leave it in the system. It won't hurt anything and save you a headache on the tune side.
