Blazer front carpet hold downs.Help

Looked around the forum and searched for hours with no luck.
What are people using in place of the original front carpet strips? Figured out the rears but the front is where I am stuck at. I shopped for carpet trim at home depot and lowes but didn't find anything halfway decent that would somewhat look nice.

You could use the same strip you use for the rear. I've seen it done and didn't look bad.

Re: Blazer front carpet hold downs.Help

It's not incorrect IMO to use clamp style front and rear. I believe it to be a factory correct set up in some cases.

This thread may be helpful:

Also, as member turp mcspray has shown, a correct appearance alternative is stainless bed strips, as he notes in this thread:

Re: Blazer front carpet hold downs.Help

I have a 71 I got from the original owner in 1981. Front and rear on that one are the same. My 70 has a different front and rear.

Re: Blazer front carpet hold downs.Help

The rear has a channel to hold weather stripping the front is slightly bent at an angle and flat. Not correct to use the bed strip but if you can't find the originals why not.
