1955-57 outside sun visor
I want a outside visor for my 56 1/2 ton and not having much luck---I see them for up to 1955 1/2. Those on Ebay are held on with sheetmetal screws and I fail to believe those would stay on over 40mph!!!!
What is anyone else running or buying----sorry I just dont want to spend $350 or more for a visor. |

One has a nice picture of a visor installed showing attachment from the underside. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=451685 http://www.stovebolt.com/ubbthreads/...&Number=734494 There are more links on Google if you search for 57 chevy truck outside visor. Re: 1955-57 outside sun visor
I've had a screw on visor on my 57' for over 20 years, that thing has never moved, flapped, or ever sagged in the time. So I would say the screws work very well.

Re: 1955-57 outside sun visor
I wondered about that too when I installed mine, as it looks like it would be a huge air trap, but I've had mine to seventy mph with no problems, and I expect it saw eighty or more last week when my son was trailering it down to Savannah for me. My cab is very solid in that area but I can see how it might be a problem if you had rust in the cab lip and the metal was thin.

Re: 1955-57 outside sun visor
I can attest to the fact they will stay attached at over 100mph....
Best to install with 2 people, but 1 will do. Good luck, small hint, when you install the screws put some clear silicone on the screws so the holes wont rust out.
