Trucks at Vintiques NW Nationals Yakima Wa
I went up and spent a couple of hours in the 100+ degree heat taking photos at the 2015 Vintiques Northwest Nationals in Yakima Wa yesterday and here are some of he trucks that were there.

Re: Trucks at Vintiques NW Nationals Yakima Wa
Ot for this page but a nice old burb with bigger wheels that don't look big.
The event is open up to 72 models. This C-10 was slick. Parked right in the spot I used to park my truck in. It's been his spot for several years now though. This is a local truck (20 miles away from me) that still looks great years after it was finished. Just about as nice an AD that exists outside of trailered show rigs.

Re: Trucks at Vintiques NW Nationals Yakima Wa
Speaking of wheel tubs The problem with having a bunch of lawn chairs beside your very nice truck is that they hide the truck when Mr48Chev walks by and takes photos. Less lawnchair, more truck Nicely detailed with Corvette goodies. Fo the 60/66 brigade. The wheels looked fantastic on that truck. I'd love to be able to park this beside my truck in the garage and it was for sale Several nice F100 trucks on the grounds For the patina brigade this was out in the parking lot hoping a sucker would get old truck fever. The bondo work looks decent. Photo isn't great but there is a reason they make long boards to finish blocking out the truck before putting paint on it. DA marks the whole length of it. A hit it with the DA, throw paint on it and stick it out in the parking lot at Vintiques and hope someone buys it truck. one more day of prep and this would have been a great looking truck rather than a nice looking driver quality truck. My album for the show is here with a lot more cars and trucks. http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Rob-D/library/ 2015%20Vintiques%20Northwest%20Nationals?sort=2&page=1 Very little rust, "patina" or rat rods though just a bunch of nice rigs from the Pacific Northwest.

Thanks for the pics Mr. 48- I missed seeing the AD Suburban...
Funny, I drove past that purple rig and it was waving at me too- "hurry up boys, we gotta paint this sucker!" Also, No comment on the S10 bed on that GMC... |

Re: Trucks at Vintiques NW Nationals Yakima Wa
That dash reminded me of a 65/66 dash but I didn't look at it that close. I'm thinking the truck belongs to a guy in his late 20's early 30's. I'll say this it is every bit straight enough to be black. The quality of the majority of the AD trucks in the show was extremely high even with those that have been on the road for years.
Actually the quality of most of the vehicles in the show was quite high with maybe only a hundred out of about 500 being beater quality and not many rat rods that were built as rat rods. The biggest group of "patina" rigs seemed to be the 60 and 71/72 Chevy and GMC pickups Many of which appeared to be tag along rigs. This Studebaker is ot but a spectacular car. Interior said to be by Bob Jasper one of the top interior guys in the Northwest.

Re: Trucks at Vintiques NW Nationals Yakima Wa
I think it was about 103 Saturday when I was taking the photos. I flat gave out after 2 hours and I did spring for one of their 3.50 bottles of water (fairgrounds concession not the Vintiques) I think the prices at the fairgrounds are higher than at Safeco Field.
Back in the campground areas a lot of groups had small wading pools set up to cool off with.

That's a great looking truck all around Mike. One of the nicer ones of that body style out there last weekend.
