Engine problems after body shop?
I just got my truck back from the body shop. Now it misfires quite a lot, mainly after stopping and in 1st gear. Its a really muffled "pufpufpuf".Eevery once in a while I hear a slap noise and It'll almost die. Suggestions? its got new plugs and wires from last year.

Re: Engine problems after body shop?
Carb or FI? Mine will puff back through the carb slightly sometimes. I think I need to fine tune the choke settings and possibly tweek the timing a degree or two. Of course fuel injection would not have choke issues.

Could the air filter be full of bodyshop dust?

Re: Engine problems after body shop?
depends on how long it was at the shop. Might be bad gas.

Re: Engine problems after body shop?
If they did anything around the engine area, they might have knocked a few plug wires loose and installed them back in the wrong order. Or pulled loose a vacuum hose or two.
