Well hello forum after a long absence. I had a beautiful 1970 Blazer that this forum watched and helped me restore. It was a great starter rig, 57K original miles and just a little rust under the doors and front floor boards. It was an old farm truck and sat outside in southwest Kansas for 40 years. It was a solid all original truck. I did a total off frame restoration of it, changed to color and did what I call a stock restoration on it, that is fixed what needed fixed , replaced what needed replaced cleaned and painted the rest. It turned out great and I finished it some 5 years ago. I just recently sold it. Priced it to the wrong person, or right person however you are looking at it. Saw my wife and I at a local restaurant after eating, we were getting into it and the little lady said she had to have it! I was ready for a new project. So, with some surprising emotions, I left the old green Blazer go home with someone else. No body else has driven it since I finished it! They are extremely proud of it and I am glad. I want to thank all of you on this forum for all of the help and encouragement throughout the years. This forum was a great resource and very valuable to the project. I know I have been absent for some time and I am sorry I was not there for you when you needed me. I got busy with a new business adventure of my wife's and literally ran out of time. But with the Blazer done, I had no further questions. I am not a body guy or mechanic but am proud of my first project and believe it is time to move on to another dream car, a 1965 Impala convertible, which I got last week! I am going to be selling some parts so I will be frequenting the forum more often and will be glad to help anyone with questions. I left pic of the Blazer and two of my new ride!

WOW ,both nice rides and when the top goes down it gets even better .We have a 72 Malibu convertible that we absolutely love as well as my trucks and other toys .You do know you can do a build on your convertible here under alternate tinkerings and I would follow along .

Very nice and welcome back! I to just came back after a lengthy break. 2 kids later and a garage full of parts so I'm ready to get my blazer finished, problem is the flaky body guy I've been using has had it so long he may own it by default because of some stupid law. Sorry you had to part with your blazer it must've been a tough decision, but using the funds for your dream car might've made it easier to part with. My dream car is a 66-67 Malibu but that won't come until I can afford something someone else has put their life savings into just to get half of it back. I don't want to do that twice if you know what I mean.

I must say that the decision to part with the Blazer had been contemplated for a while. Although I loved having and driving a very uncommon rig, I was wanting to have another project, maybe not as extensive as the Blazer. My brother Doug, tcb-1, also known to this forum, would over the course of years would by a rig, spruce it up and pour himself into that and sell it after 2-3 years, having his fun and driving it then moving on to something else. That was so cool but I seemed to be destined to have the Blazer. So the decision to sell was made, I set my price and thought if it sold fine, if not fine too. Well it sold so my answer was made. Now I am going to move in and out of a few cars I have always loved, mostly convertibles. May do another Blazer later if a deal comes up. The elusive, seen only once long ago, needle in a haystack for me is 1970 2WD Blazer with a 6 cylinder and 3 on the tree. I will keep looking. Saw one once on eBay right after I bought mine in 2005. Any lines on that will have me drooling and sending the Impala off to another owner!

So did the K5 stay in the Bluff? My brother is Hi-Po out towards that area and he says he swears he has seen this one.
