Mustang 2/ thunderbird tie rods
Has anyone run across an outer tie rod with a 10 degree taper and 9/16 threads to match the mustang 2 rack? or better yet an inner tierod that is 14mm? trying to avoid having the spindles reamed and would rather use bolt on parts. I have no intrest in running rod ends for outer tie rods.
Nick

Re: Mustang 2/ thunderbird tie rods
I have an 88 tbird rack, and i just made an adapter sleeve to go from the tbird rack to the rod ends on mine. (i built bumpsteer adjusters) but you could thread them to what ever size and thread you want. The tbird is is not 14mm.. they are Right hand, 9/16-18.

Re: Mustang 2/ thunderbird tie rods
I did some digging yesterday and according to moogs website an ev115 inner tie rod for an 80s dodge front wheel drive is the same inner thread as the t-bird rack but has 14mm outer threads. 2006 and up Impala outer tie rods seem to fit S10 spindles. Just need to go pick up parts and verify.
