1950 steering box
i plan on keeping stock steering box on 1950 opened it up and it is full of grease im thinking thats wrong it should have gear oil right

A lot of them leaked so bad they filled them up with grease. It should have heavy weight gear oil in it

Anoka... Its nice to see another local on the board. I also have a 1950 and used to drive it to the weekly Anoka show until I blew the motor. Welcome to the forum.

thank you im just starting my build and have about a thousand questions ha i see you used the TCI rear spring kit also what did you think of the shocks that came with kit also do you remember the size of the gas tank you were able to install behind the shock bar mount thanks

John Deere Corn head grease is a good option for the steering box. Lot's of truck running around with it in there.
If you don't live in farm country. CV joint grease is another option. |
