59 apache fleetside shortbed

I was working at a new house yesterday and started talking trucks with the owner. He was an older gentlemen and told me about an all original 59 shortie he had. I asked if I could see it and he drove me over to his old house where it had been stored for a long time! I was blown away when I saw it. 61k mile survivor truck. Bed floor is still solid. I couldn't find a spot of rot on the whole truck. Still had original seat cover as well. I made an offer and was shot down.... He said that if he sold it the money would have to go to funeral costs. Anyways. Here's a couple pictures I took. Will try to get a few more before I finish the job. For sure one of the cleanest trucks I've come across.

Ya, ya. But look, a dent in the front fender, right next to the TOTALLY solid headlight eyebrow. That's gotta take a few points off, right?
Nice, not gonna see anything like that where I hang out.

That is the orginal color combo mine was under all the repaints. Nice truck maybe you can stay in his good graces and make a deal for first right of refusal in the future. Or just get it willed to you!

Wow - that is so cool. Great story, please get some more epics and maybe some background too. I wonder when it last ran? Thanks.
