First Chevy truck

Hello everyone. I'm Alex, 24 years old and in the Navy. Got married about a year ago and have a son on the way, so not much time to build cars anymore. I bought a 1966 C10 fleetside back in March. It had been sitting on a farm for about 15 years and had not moved. The old owner had started body work and I got it dressed in primer and spray paint.Drove it home about 150 miles, First time I've drove an old truck reminded me of a tractor. Right now she has a 283, granny 4 speed, no power steering or brakes. I've started restoring her but no pictures yet. My plans are a 5 speed, power brakes, power steering, and locking doors.

Thank you 72supr. That is what it's all about and I very excited for the future. There is definitely a lot of good information here. Seems like a great community also, a lot better then the modern day muscle scene I was in before.
