Transmission Swap

This is my first question of many to come
I bought my son a 56 GMC that needs a lot of work, I got a 350/350 transmission I'm installing with an under cab power brake booster. What crossmember should I use, and will I have clearance issue.t

Re: Transmission Swap

I'd believe that a bit of searching will find you a pretty much bolt in crossmember designed for that application for well under 100.00

Most of them are going to look quite similar to this one that popped up on a quick search

Most likely you can pop into your local O'Reilly store with a speed center and order one for close to the same price and have it on the next truck shipment if they don't have one in stock.

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
