Any Grey painted V8's????
Looking for the correct color to paint my 1964 283 motor. I've found Eastwood has GM grey paint, or I can buy Rustoleum rattle can non high temp battleship grey. Not too sure which is best to go with?

If you are going with a correct looking engine, go with Eastwood. Rustoleum probably wont hold up to the high temps on the block. Can someone correct me if I am wrong on this?

Re: Any Grey painted V8's????
I had the same problem with my 235. I looked at Eastwood but didn't like the price, way to high for a quart. So I went with Duple-color Ford gray. I compared it with the original Blue Gray that was left on the block and it was real close. They only way you can see it's off is have another engine with the correct blue gray paint on it. I also did a 58 350 in the same gray to look like a 283. No one will know but you that its off from the original blue gray. Here is some pics of the gray on y engines. Get ready for everybody to ask why it's gray and not orange.

Re: Any Grey painted V8's????
Yes I ran aluminum for my fuel line. I really wanted to run copper just to get a cool look but didn't want to wait.
