Stock height 2wd 69-72 blazer or jimmy pics?

Hey gang, just wondering if there are any stock height 2wd blazers left out there?

I recently purchased a 71 blazer that was a 4x4 and the previous owner started to convert it to 2wd. I was planning on just using the Tub to replace the tub on my 70 4x4 but its not as nice as I thought. So now I'm not sure what I want to do with it but thought about completing the conversion to 2wd but making it look stock instead of lowered. I'm not sure I've ever seen a stock height 2wd blazer or jimmy.

If anyone has some stock 2wd blazer or jimmy pics please post them up.

Here's my 70 2wd with and without the top. It's still got the optional factory "Heavy Duty Springs" in front and back. Not sure how much that effects the ride height.

Yep, they look just like 4x4's. Here's my 70 2wd (Dark Blue) with my old 72 4x4 (Med. Blue). They were both stock height and both had 31" All-terrain tires on them too.

I guess I've seen soooo many lowered 2wd k5's and no stock ones that I just assumed they sat lower than a 4x4.

Re: Stock height 2wd 69-72 blazer or jimmy pics?

so (this is a pretty embarrassing question to ask), but does anybody know the difference in a stock height 2wd VS a 4wd?? i have a 4wd that i'm trying to return to stock height. i bought new front replacement leaf springs (23.5" eye to eye; 1 1/8" arc), installed them, and now for the rear end to sit "level" with the front, i had to put in 3" lift blocks?? that doesn't make any sense to me.

this is how it looks now (again, with stock replacement springs up front, and 3" blocks in the back), and the front is sitting 1/2" higher than the rear (i assume it'll be pretty level, but the rear doesn't have any shocks installed right now).

**the top of the wheel well is measuring 39.5" from the ground on the front, and 39" on the rear.

Med Blue with top is stock height 4x4, Dark Blue with no top is my stock height 2wd. Both had the exact same size tires. Although I didn't get any measurements while I had them both, they are damn near identical.

Edit--- I didn't scroll up to see that I posted this pic already.

Re: Stock height 2wd 69-72 blazer or jimmy pics?

thanks man...i honestly can't really even guess what's going on. i confirmed with the company that these are stock springs. i asked if they were "made to order", thinking perhaps someone made a pair that weren't the correct specs, and he said that they sell a ton of them, so they're made in bulk, and he doesn't know what's going on.

what's also weird is the axle seems to be pushed towards the rear of the truck??

i think i'm going to start a new thread just to see if that gets a bit more visibility, because i'm honestly at a loss.

Re: Stock height 2wd 69-72 blazer or jimmy pics?

I'm not a 4x4 guy, but I remember the front leaf springs having a reversed arch in them. I have another 4x4 frame at the house with no drivetrain or front clip on it, if it will help, I'll snap some pics tonight when I get home and take some measurements for you.

Could it be as simple as they are mounted upside down??
