Inline 6 Accessory drive brackets
I am adding power steering and eventually A/C to my '71 Inline 6 250, so I started looking for triple drive bracket setups. Here's the one I just ordered:
![]() I think it will work well for me, I'm going to have a new HEI, Alternator with internal regulator and a Clifford 6=8 Intake. This bracket setup will clear them all. Need to add a two groove water pump pulley and add a single groove pulley to the existing 2 groove crank pulley, but those are easily available.

Re: Inline 6 Accessory drive brackets
FYI: They also have the Power Steering bracket by its self:

Re: Inline 6 Accessory drive brackets
You could also try the GM 3-Groove 292 Harmonic Balancer, p/n:10141202.
A 292 Balancer on a 250 would be fine [but a 250 Balancer on the larger L6 wouldn't have enough mass to be effective.] Nice looking L6.

Re: Inline 6 Accessory drive brackets
Hope this isn't against any rules. I ordered mine from http://ecihotrodbrakes.com/chevrolet...ve_system.html

Re: Inline 6 Accessory drive brackets
I see that the picture above is from ECI's web page.
Do they give you an application for a upper radiator hose that works with the water outlet pointing straight forward? I would be nice if they showed other views of their brackets. I wonder if the brackets have triangulated bracing or did they rely strictly on that annoying crossbar?

Re: Inline 6 Accessory drive brackets
Cross bar doesn't bother me. Your other question , do you mean like an Inglese Cool-Flex hose ??

This picture was posted here about seven years ago.
You want to use a hose like this in a big "S" shape and obviously with an electric fan? ![]()

Re: Inline 6 Accessory drive brackets
It looks like there may be other problems with pritch's setup.
As it sits, the Alt belt is not making near enough contact with the water pump pulley to keep the water pump from slipping. The Alt belt is on the front groove of the water pump and the rear groove of the crank pulley. The extended thermostat housing is going to interfere with any belt for the AC compressor no matter what. ![]() ![]()

Re: Inline 6 Accessory drive brackets
My understanding is the dual groove water pump pulley drives the Alternator and the A/C compressor, and I have a single groove pulley to ADD to the from of the Crank pulley/balancer which drives the power steering pump alone.
The A/C compressor side is adjustable outward to allow clearance of an HEI Distributor. I see what you are saying about the Alternator belt, Once I recieve mine I'll try to post up here on successes or shortfalls.

Re: Inline 6 Accessory drive brackets
I have have some olders 'Zoops' adjustable brackets on my '34 which allow some outerward adjustment on the bottom of the Alternator. Might look at those too.
