Best hood insulation for sound?
Looking for a good hood insulation product to sound reasons. I don't have any heat issues with the hood area. It could be a universal product if there is an effective way to affix it without glue. I see LMC has a kit but couldn't find a review on its effectiveness and installation. Don't want to glue to the sheetmetal so I can avoid rust popping up.

You can roll any sprayable product as long as the prep is the same. I would look into it.

Maybe use one of those Duplicolor bed coating rollers.

Re: Best hood insulation for sound?
Lizard skin says its not ideal to roll their product because some of the critical solids will stick to the roller. I believe these solids help with the sound dampening. However, I am with you and think I can get it good enough with a roller. Looking for a really thick and heavy coating so maybe I'll roller 3-4 times.
