steering column
I found a steering column I want. It has cruise. My truck doesn't.
My truck has the delay (pulse according to wrecking yard) wipers. Questions: If the column I buy has cruise will the wiring work? If the wiper system is different will it work? Are all steering wheels the same for 84-87? (the one I found doesn't have one and mine is screwed up) I am assuming NO. But you never know. |

the cruise wiring is seperate i believe. mine had it but someone cut the wires at the turn signal lever, so i pulled it all, even the wires from the steering colomn. then i found a lever with only the delay wipers and no cruise and all black.

cruise control
The cruise on another one I saw is part of the turn signal as opposed to a seperate add on.
The wrecking yard said the wiring isn't compatible. But they are not alway right. I hate to bid and win one if it is the wrong one. Unfortunately the bidding will probably end before I know for sure. ( 1 hr from now) The other problem is I don't know for sure if this truck was originanly equipped with cruise. This may be a replacement column. It is a silverado C30. The tag mentions intermitent wipers. And convenience pkg code z?6 . Does anyone know what the code is forcruise control or if it is included in the convenience pkg? Any help |
