Using a van column in a 66?
I bought a van column from someone on here a long time ago and now I need to start getting the column figure out in my moms build.
How hard is it for someone that cannot really fab stuff up or weld? Does anyone have a good complete writeup on doing it? It's the tilt column without a key and the tilt mechanism is tight and not worn out. We will be going with a full bolt-in rack and pinion setup for steering so not sure what to do here.

FAQ section under Power Steering there is some good write ups. Pretty straight forward.

Here's a link to a write up I did on installing a 72 (I think) Chevy Van Tilt on my 64 C-10 this is the second part for the dash install part of it. You will need to move the Neutral Safety Switch further up or down the column also though. I'll post that one when I find it too. check post 4344
