1964 C10 steering bearing
My C10 steering wheel grinds when I turn it like the bearing is bad. I also had to unhook my horn because when I turn the wheel full lock it would honk. There is no slop in the wheel, just tight.
How much trouble is it to replace the bearing (or bearings?) and where should I get the parts? thanks |

Re: 1964 C10 steering bearing
If just the upper bearing that needs replacing, it's easy. Just pull the steering wheel off and you can get to it. If the lower one needs it, you'll need to pull the whole column out and disassemble it completely.
