WIW: NOS 73-87 dash bezel

Not sure exactly what years this was used and it does have a couple of imperfections in pic 2. The aluminum has a bubble in the corner and a spot of some sort up higher. If this is used, it wasn't for long.

Well believe it or not the "if this is used" comment makes a big difference to some. If the holes look like they have had screws installed than I would say the value is approx 1/3 less at least. With the imperfections I think it's a 200-250 piece if no signs of previous use. The original box definitely helps too.

Thanks, I see no signs of use, I just don't want someone thinking this is a showpiece. It is a very nice part. I believe it is nos and just not taken care of properly. What years was this used?

Re: WIW: NOS 73-87 dash bezel

Looks like 84-87. Probably 88-91 suburban too

Re: WIW: NOS 73-87 dash bezel

Good thread on dash bezel differences:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=660034

QUOTE:
Yes, they can be grouped into 73-74, 75-77, 78-80, 81-83, 84-88.

73-74 bezels have a raised area surrounding the headlight knob hole and a fairly narrow hole for the wiper switch.

75-77 bezels have a larger hole for the headlight knob without the surrounding raised area. And a wider rectangular hole for the wiper switch.

78-80 bezels have some styling / appearance differences but I believe they are otherwise interchangeable with the 75-77 bezels as long as you use the corresponding lower steering column cover piece.

81-83 bezels have more of a squared off shape to the upper corners to match the shape of the dash pad.

84-87 (and 88 R/V series) bezels no longer have a rectangular hole for the wiper switch since it's on the column for these years. And the round hole for the headlight switch is moved up a little bit higher as compared to earlier years.

I believe the 89-91 R/V series bezels are very similar to the 84-88 bezels with the only difference being the radio opening.
