Looking to bag my 64
Here's what I'm looking for:
Information on what it takes to bag my 64. I don't know much about it other than what I can see on YouTube, but I do want to do it myself. If I can. So my questions are, pretty much everything. From front to rear and everything in between. I know there is a lot of work involved and I don't expect anybody to tell me step by step how to do this. Just looking for someone to point me in the right direction is all. Maybe a place that has options I can see? I'm not looking for a company to do it. I have already looked down that avenue. They want to charge me $4500-$7000! No thanks. I know kits run all over in price. From $599 to $3000+. I'm not sure what kit supplier I'm going to go through but I'm not a rich guy so I'm trying to be a bit frugal while still doing the job right. I'm not cutting corners just, just trying to save myself a bit of money due to I have the time to do it myself. So if anybody out there can give me some usable advice I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!! |

Re: Looking to bag my 64
Look in the suspension section and there are a lot of threads in there to help you. Travis at Pro Performance is a vendor here on the board and is very helpful at putting together packages to get you everything you need to do this with good parts and a good price. Look him up in the vendors section and send him a PM with your needs.

Does your truck have leaf springs or is the truck arms with the coil springs in the back?

Re: Looking to bag my 64
"Cheap?" Not really at all what I was asking for? I have cash to spend but don't believe I need to spend $3000. to $7000. on a new suspension kit? I was asking for a reputable reasonable company and price... Thanks though for your input?

Re: Looking to bag my 64
Regardless of whose kit you are going to use, the basic kits are pretty similar in installation. I can post or email you some instructions for our Level 1 kit and you can get an idea of what kind of labor you will be up for.
