Seatbelt light ALWAYS on
So I'm rebuilding/customizing my new to me 79 C10. One thing I'm chasing is the seatbelt light stays on all the time. When I say all the time, I mean all the time. Even with the key out/engine off. The interior is gutted so the seatbelt retractors aren't there, so I get that the light is on, but even with the key out? The only thing that makes it go out is pulling the neg battery cable lol.

Re: Seatbelt light ALWAYS on
For 79, the seatbelt light is controlled by a "seat belt warning buzzer & timer". But that receives power via the pink circuit #39 wire that is supposed to be switched on & off via the ignition. Start your troubleshooting by using a test light or voltmeter to see if power to the "gauges" fuse switches off as it should.
