I am not doing them together, but I am installing the AAW kit now and the LS later this year.

I just did a wire harness and an ls swap. it wasn't an aaw but it was a universal gm harness.

Re: Anybody do an ls swap AND AAW classic update kit together?

Here's my dilemma , I have intellitronix gauges goon in too, so that throws in a wrench. Where will my vss signal from Ecu hook on aaw harness?? Or go straight to gauges? Also there's a long unlabeled orange wire by heater wires ... Where does this go? Doesn't go to heater , and I've yet to get ahold of intellitronix or aaw customer service after 2 days of attempts all day...frustrating

Looking at the aaw wire diagram a single orange wire will go to the cigarette lighter maybe that's it.VVS is set up different on mine but I would think it would go to the cluster not the aaw harness.

Re: Anybody do an ls swap AND AAW classic update kit together?

VSS signal wire goes directly to the speedo gauge it doesn't hook into the AAW harness.

The long orange wire is probably for the glove box light. There are other orange wires in the harness under the dash but I think they are labelled.

The instructions are quite good and are downloadable from the AAW website if you don't have the sheet that shows this long orange wire. I used AAW tech support a couple times and always got a person to talk to right away and answered my questions promptly. Good Luck with your build.

Thanks guys, I have the papers and diagrams. Kennuck- so I don't use the included purple and yellow vss wires at all you say? I go from swap harness vss signal straight to gauge?

You don't use those 2 wires and can remove them from the harness. Use the vss wire from the EFI harness.

I think you are talking about the gauge? Just use a chassis ground.
