Thumbs up LS coils

Haven't had any trouble out of the truck but was thinking about the 2016 HRPT coming up in June. What would you guy's recommend as having on hand for the 3000 mile round trip. Spare parts wise.

1. extra coils= Couple of factory replacements. O-Reilly's are $53.00 each.
BWD E254

2. Crank senor = $51.99 O-Reilly MasterPro Ignition - Crankshaft Position Sensor

I guess what are the likely things that can fail on these motors that I should take with me.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: LS coils

I usually carry a fuel pump, but only because the car has a lot of miles on it and it can be changed on the side of the road in less than half an hour. Other than that, I just take tools to fix potential problems. If you have tools and your car is built using easy to get parts (i.e. factory) then you'll be able to find a way to get the parts, someone will stop to help. If you don't believe me, stop on the side of the road and try to take a picture of the cars rolling by, someone will stop to make sure you're alright, happed to me several times.

Question Re: LS coils

I have the tools and new H/F low profile 2.5 ton floor jack. I was just thinking motor wise. Mine is all stock so all the sensor's should be easy to get but was worried about if they have to order them.
More like oxygen-o2-sensors gas pump is less than 2 years old. I maybe over thinking. I didn't have anything the last 2 HRPT I did!

Re: LS coils

Where are you going? Yugoslavia?

If you are going to be anywhere in the U.S. then spare parts are simply a phone call away.

Re: LS coils

No need for engine coils or sensors. Things like that rarely ever fail.

Edit: and as far as coils and engine sensors go... I would not buy store brand parts. Get the real thing from GM.

Re: LS coils

And if you have one coil fail, it'll limp along on the remaining seven until you can get to a parts store.
