Looking for Female plug to fit factory VSS plug, hook up aftermarket VSS unit. Anyone know Part# or what on a donor vehicle will have one. The GM unit plugs into the VSS unit direct

Chances are that it's a Delphi branded connector. it's likely in their catalog (in the metri-pack section). Once you get the part number, you can use google to find a place to buy it. I personally use Mouser Electronics as they stock most of the Delphi connectors and terminals.

If you just want to go junkyard hunting, look at 4 wheel drive GM trucks. They have an extension harness to extend the VSS wires to reach the transfer case. That short extension harness will have the plug you're looking for. The only part that I can't tell you off the top of my head is if it is the '99 up body style that "LS" based motors originally came in or if the extension harness was used on the '88-'98 body style.
