Engine and trans question

Reinstalled 230 picked off of craigslist with sm420. Got it up and over everything with a few scratches. Lined up and everything connected to drivetrain. Trans yoke moved by hand before going in and now truck won't roll. Any ideas?

Re: Engine and trans question

need more info. is the tranny shifting, ya mean it won't roll like the brakes are on or it roll like the tranny isn't putting power to the rear end?

Re: Engine and trans question

Tons of ideas come to mind...need a little more info though. Like..wasn't shifting, or wouldn't go into gear, or is the clutch not engaging because of wrong adjustment?

Re: Engine and trans question

Frankslagoon and TJ's Chevy - Thanks for the questions. Been driving me crazy. Trans turned freely after I mounted it to motor and then wouldn't once in the truck. My neighbor helped me and he put a cover on the top of the trans (which I removed to reinstall) and told me he moved the stick. So, it rolls an inch and then stops like it is in gear. I need to reinstall the clutch linkage and am thinking that I will put the stick shift back in and see if it is in gear first. What other ideas should I be thinking?
