LS swap remove voltage regulator
Can someone point me or explain where I can find info on this.
I found this thread http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=119379 When everyone is swapping in a LS motor do you need to connect the blue wire to the alternator or just connect the two wires together on the voltage regulator and a power wire from the main stud on the alternator to the battery |

Re: LS swap remove voltage regulator
If using the alternator that came with an LS motor, it will have its own voltage regulator built in. It just needs a charging lamp connection on the L terminal.

Re: LS swap remove voltage regulator
If using the factory PCM the regulator in the alternator is controlled by the engine computer...you could likely ditch the external regulator all together.
