Hi!...from Australia!
Hi!.....New to this site!.....I'm in Australia.....been looking for a decent c10 for ages....not so easy to find over here.....so far,all that I've looked at have needed way to much done to get what I want......first up few years backs had look at a "69" CST,orig big block truck.....looked awesome....had b&m low blown 454 in it.....perfect yeah!....nah...rego slip had it down as a 1972 model(numbers on tags were 1969 cst bb swb fleet).....engine knock, blower bearings shagged, all floor rusted out,6 bolt wheels, diff gears not for highway!...half shagged box leaking tranny fluid...a lot......so the $18k bargain I got him down too was stacking up $$$ wise for getting to a level I was envisioning.....then came the later square...was on ebay for $23..then months later $15k....sweet got my attention...RHD...but rough....needed tidying up/paint/std motor/every
Thing...it sold quick at that price then popped up later at a car yard in Melbourne for $26!!....just recently a super nice .'83 caught my eye for $20k..converted to RHD.....real cheap for what it was, right colour...nice interior.......but only had tired old 327(more like a 305 I reckon)... No biggie...was planning for LS swap anyways....me being a procrastinator though, wasn't long before it got sold!....... So.....yeah.... Missed another.......musta meant to be as the very next week a unfinished project came up!....rolling chassis....perfect.!....don't have to pay premium for a running vehicle only to strip and chuck most it away anyways!....and being stripped can see previous repairs and work that needs to be done still anyways!....original 350 v8 truck, big disc front end,annnd.....already a RHD conversion done!..AND it's already been registered in Australia before...only real drama(but not really??)...is it's a 1980!(prolly ugliest grill/lights of all,but easy fix later!)....cab is good, all glass, doors little bit rust in corners, front guards shagged but seller gave me 2 good orig ones......all for a awesome price!.......tub is pretty ****ed but!.....was thinking doing a tray back version though?...and LS1/6spd....it's gunna be long term project though as I've got ****load other cars/bikes on the go at moment as well!...so there it is!....Hi ALL! |
