73-80 pulse delay conversion kits 2 left...
I have 2 of these kits left at the moment-delays have been tested, includes a conversion harness and a diagram. Must use 78-up motor and motor linkage arm. $90 shipped each just like the last batch!
73-77 sorry. |

Thanks G
If you come up with anything, please let me know. I would be happy to pay for one that would work on my 84 to 71 conversion. Thanks John |

Re: 73-80 pulse delay conversion kits 2 left...
This is a stock 1977 2-speed wiper motor....you need to change this out for a 1978-up motor....and the wiper motor linkage arm is different too-they don't interchange so you need to use a 1978-up arm/nut as well due to the threaded shaft on the 1978-up motors being slightly bigger-the pivot ball which attaches to the linkage arm assembly is the same for all 1973-87 tho.

On the same 1977 GMC High Sierra truck, here is the 1978 motor and new harness leads all tested and ready to go! In my lot I also provide instructions for swapping out leads on the cab side of the fuse panel bulkhead connector too!

Re: 73-80 pulse delay conversion kits 2 left...
Well the 84-up trucks have a different design where the stalk has the delay feature built in and there is a pulse delay circuit board integrated into the whole circuit too-not sure if it is even worth trying to make work ya know...? What year/type of wiper switch are you thinking about?

Do you still have any of these left?
We have a 79 so I assume it would be a "plug and play" since it already has the correct motor. |

Re: 73-80 pulse delay conversion kits 2 left...
The cost for a conversion kit is $90 shipped. You simply need to use a 1978-83 wiper motor and junkyard source the 78-up motor arm and nut too.

Re: 73-80 pulse delay conversion kits 2 left...
Right-it's a simple change tho. And, you'll need to enlarge the existing squarish hole in the dash where the stock wiper switch is located. You will need to drill 2 small holes to add the 78-up style delay switch-the 77 switch has mounts on top/bottom whereas the 78-83 switches are at opposite corners.

Re: 73-80 pulse delay conversion kits 2 left...
Hey John-I haven't forgot about ya! I've just been super busy this last couple of weeks. Besides building harnesses I've been moving a lot of my NOS sheetmetal locally for guys too so it's been hectic....but a fun hectic. I'll keep ya posted-I have a local customer with a 67 C10 I may try to convert just to work out a harness for such a conversion.
