1966 Chevrolet Panel and Carryall Dealer Brochure
Since I have a '66 Suburban I collected a dealer brochure for the truck. The front page shows a Panel and Carryall on a dock. I wondered if it was staged or a real place. There are a couple clues and after some time on the internet I found it was indeed real and still exists.
The water is the Missisippi River in New Orleans at the Canal Street dock. The US90 bridge is distinctive and can been seen in the background. The Voyageur was a real tour boat. It is gone but another boat has replaced it and still has river cruises. Here is the spot today thanks to Google maps: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ne...715323!6m1!1e1 So if anyone in the area has a white Carryall or a blue Panel, here is your chance to re-create the cover photo. |

Re: 1966 Chevrolet Panel and Carryall Dealer Brochure
Gotta love the internet for searches like that. Did the same from an original Chevrolet slide and found the intersection that was featured.
