Heater Box is Back On!!!!
My dad and I got it this go around.
All hardware accounted for as well. I think the GMC Paul's gasket kit is worth the money, the only pieces I couldn't use went around the heater core and around the tubes. ![]() New fan gaskets from GMC Paul's fit perfectly (both the large rubber one and the smaller foam one). ![]() Perimeter gasket from GMC Paul's. ![]() Tube foams from Grumpy Old Man are a step above the GMC Paul's kit. ![]() 1/8" steel washer in use with 1/8" aluminum rivets with 1/2" grip area. ![]() And yes we connected the flap control cable and used the press down locking washer. I still need to tighten all the hardware after the gasket has taken a set and lube the flap control at the bottom. Next task: running the NOS fenders over to the painter, hopefully today! Thanks again to everyone that gave advice. |
