Early Classic C-20 to C-10 2.5 drop spindle review.
I recently purchased a set of Early Classic C20 to C10 drop spindles. What a GREAT product! Its about time this is offered in a simple reasonably priced solution for a 5 lug conversion/drop. The installation went well and looks great. I have 2 comments about the product.
1) When I called to inquire about the product, I asked about the drop spindles clearance on the back side of 8" steel or 9" aluminum 15" wheels. I have installed several sets of other 2.5 drop spindles and ALL either hit or shaved the inboard weights off the back of the rim. I was told by the tech team that this WAS NOT AN ISSUE with their product. Well, I am here to tell you, they do scrub the weights off of 8" steel stock 15" rally wheels and Im fairly certain any wheel wider would not fit without changing the offset or running spacers. Im running bigger wheels eventually so its not the end of the world. 2) It is sold and explained by the tech department as a direct conversion from C-20 to C10 using the later C10 equipment. The conversion was flawless with the exception of the backing plate holes. The holes in the spindle are NOT tapped deep enough to except the factory length or original bolts that attach the backing plate. This issue needs to be mentioned in the tech data, the holes should be tapped deeper or shorter bolts should be included with the spindles. Luckily we are well adapted in broken bolt removal as the first backing plate bolt snapped trying to tighten it down. Overall its a great product but the sales info and team needs a little updating in their info delivery.

Re: Early Classic C-20 to C-10 2.5 drop spindle review.
This is a hidden problem solving spindle that most people don't know about.
It's one of the easiest ways to convert a c20 to a c10. I'm not sure how ECE could answer your question about the 15" wheels without knowing YOUR wheels backspacing? All they are, is a regular set of c10 drop spindles, with the balljoint and tie rod holes reamed to the c20 sizes. So they fit just like there c10 spindles. The bolt holes for he dust shields should be addresses, though. I've heard of them even being sent out not drilled at all. So there must be an issue with quality control by whoever is building these spindles for ECE. Overall the customer service at ECE is always top notch when I have dealt with them. Thanks for posting this thread!

I did get a reply from them....."We will forward your finding along" They also never sent tracking info and when I requested it they replied....FED EX was supposed to send that out. Looks like this company has some accountability issues!

Re: Early Classic C-20 to C-10 2.5 drop spindle review.
I just had the same issue. I wanted to run 15x8 front 15x10 rear. The 15x8 with there drop spindles rub bad and I couldn't run rally's. What ever brand my blazer has on them does fine. I guess I will be trimming.
