Bench seat retractable seat belt

Any of you guys upgraded your lap belts to something a little safer?

I have an opportunity to purchase a Yukon bench seat for 260, but my kids aren't old enough for the 3pt yet so it would be the same as a seat belt coming across their car seat. Just wanted to get some opinions

Re: Bench seat retractable seat belt

If you have a permanent roll cage you can add the 3-point harness. I went with the Tahoe seats like you have pictured. There not installed yet and I plan to make them removable. They key to the Tahoe seats is to make sure they're secure to the floor with under floor bracing.
Last thing you want is to have an accident and the seat pulls away from the floor.

Re: Bench seat retractable seat belt

Check the front to back thickness of the back of your new bench seat.
I have swapped in fancy seats from cars for looks and comfort in my various trucks. However, I found most contemporary seats to be way too thick and rob many precious inches in the already cramped pick up cab.
