Finally......
Got a good tune one my swap, and it is all worthwhile. Issue was with torque management settings. 5.3 swap has been one of the best auto improvements I have ever done.

Re: Finally......
I did a 5.3 swap in my 82 and it was amazing the difference . I decided to do a 6.0 and it was a dog down low but when it hit the upper rpm it pulled like crazy . I put it on the dyno to fine tune and and I gained about 100 lb torque below 4500 rpm( tune ) . I cant tell you enough how important it is to get it tuned for wot and drive ability . There is no replacement for the proper tools like a dyno to tell you what is going on . I have become a hp junkie . Right now I am at 441 to the rear wheels . Is there ever enough. These LS motors just amaze me how easy it is to get the power out of them and still drive them . Ok , I am DONE
Bottom line get it tuned . |

Re: Finally......
Yup. Gotta tune em for max enjoyment.
A set of headers and tune on any 5.3 will surprise most people.
