1966 C10 w/396 - need exhaust manifold help

Does anyone have experience with which exhaust manifolds fit the best?
Appears to little clearance; maybe headers instead?
Thanks

Regardless whether you use stock manifolds or headers, the top flange of the frame should be trimmed back. The '68 and up trucks have the top flange trimmed back from the factory as that is when big blocks were first available in the trucks. When I put the big block in my '66 Suburban, I used a '73-'87 frame as a reference to trim the frame and I used '73-'87 headers. Those headers will not work if your truck is lowered much.

Ive used the 1968-1970 BB frame mounts and exhaust manifolds made for trucks. Like Captain says you trim the edge of the frame back just like the 68-72 trucks so the mount seats properly. The 68-70 mounts are clearanced to allow manifolds. On others I just used Sanderson headers which fit tighter to the chassis. I like them !
