GMC JIMMY estimated worth...

I think it's a 72? GMC Jimmy 4x4 I found for sale it has no price listed just says "Make Offer".

What I was wondering is if I could get sum of you to give me your opinion as to how much u would offer or that I should offer for it.

Condition: 350 Engine, 350 Auto Trans, 205? Transfer all there just don't run (sitin for 10+ years?) It's a Custom Jimmy so it has two bucket seats and bench in back (definitely need to be recovered) has black hard top (will need work as well) It has open Knuckle Disc Front hubs. But one of the biggest things is there is not a straight panel...well lets just say if you've seen Gee Emm's Jimmy it's like that but maybe worse?? So a body swap if it to be considered a project vehicle.

I'm thinking even if it is too far gone to be a project it would be worth saving for the parts and chassis etc. for a decent price, yes?

Ive paid as little as $400 for a 72 Blazer and as much as... $?????, Im afraid to say. I would not be too shy to low ball anyone if the truck needs alot of work. If the truck is clean, Ask what the seller thinks would be a fair price and then go from there. I was asking $8500 for my 72 3/4 4x4 a few months back , yet I sold to a board member for $5k. I basically sold it for what I had in it and went on to other things. I had to have a real Cheyenne and it was a Custom 20. I would have never been happy. Now I have a Cheyenne and a Cheyenne Super BB.. Im happy as hell!

Wow, well Gee_Emm that one will give you a run for your money. ha ha Has the rear bed completely rusted out? What else would case that rear left panel to fall off? 100 bucks seems right on the money

The running drivetrail alone is worth between $500 to $1,000 or more.. Buy it. Body parts are cheap, not to mention, then you can make it look much better with a Chevy front clip!

Mine was worse still. Are 69-72 Jimmys/Blazers as uncommon around Ontario as they are here?

This is the only one I have seen...One of the reasons I wanna save it I suppose and it's a well optioned truck too (well not all the options are still there...but they can be replaced) which I've never seen around here.

It would be a tough call then, if there are no other ones around for parts then how are you supposed to fix it. You will need rocker boxes and new bed sides, I wouldnt recomend using short bed sides on that one, you will also need to make a new bed floor proably, and convert a PU cab to a Jimmy. But if you dont pay much for it you will have more money to spend on the new parts you need. Bills truck shop has a Blazer body, he wants a fair bit for it but that might be another option.

Well I talked to a guy today and it didn't sound promising...he said it's actually his brother-in-laws truck and that he has changed his mind and has decided that he wants to strip the body and turn it into a "Mud Machine"...

Oh well I tried...I left them my number if they should change their minds...again...

Thanks for the tips Gee Emm...I did see the Blazer body on Bills Truck Shop Site...it had crossed my mind. Plus there was a little talk about arranging a massive parts order through Bill with sum other Ontario Members of the board that I may have done if I was able to pick this up...but alas it is not mine...but I guess I could still get a call from them...but I doubt it.
