My Vintage Air finally died...
...after 11 years of service in South Carolina. Needed a new O-ring
 The A/C shop replaced the schrader valves for good measure, recharged, and it kept me cold all weekend.

Good to hear its been running well all those years with only a minor issue. Mine has been running great for about 2 years now. However, I am on my third heater valve. I've had two of these valves stop working and start to continuously draw current (like a short) while buzzing. VA has sent me the replacements at no cost, but I'm wondering how long the latest one will last.

I've been very happy with it. I have the "older" cable style system. The new ones are all electronic. I put one of the "newer" electronic systems in my 65 Mustang 3 years ago. That one had a schrader valve leak last year, but other than that, so far so good as well.
