Rubber Bed Mat
I know that this has been posted several times, but a few of the threads are a bit outdated.
I am looking for a rubber bed mat for a 1972 Chevy C10 long bed. I know that they probably don't exist for a perfect match, but has anyone ran across a brand that does the job? I've done a lot searching and this is about all I've come up with. Think any of those will work? http://members.peak.org/~robbpynes/rbr/truck.htm https://www.etrailer.com/question-61188.html |

Re: Rubber Bed Mat
I purchased the LRV-6642D bed mat from Summit for $69.97 and I'm very impressed with it. It's maybe 4 inches too short up front for my Longhorn, and would no doubt be perfect for a regular long bed. It can also be cut down for a short bed.
It's heavy, grippy, and has a dimpled back that faces the bed wood. Highly recommended for the price. Don't know yet if it'll leave any black marks, I'm hoping not. It has not in four months, so I doubt it. Summit: LRV-6642D I think Summit charges you their "handling" fee because it's under $100 and they add an oversize charge of $8 or something, but it seemed fair. You can get it for slightly more at Amazon with no extra fees and free shipping as well: https://smile.amazon.com/LRV-6642-Be...s=6642+bed+mat

Thank you for posting! This is exactly the one I want but both Amazon and Summit are out of stock. I've also looked for it on Ebay, but once again no luck. Let me know if you know of another website to purchase. |

Re: Rubber Bed Mat
The LRV-6642D is definitely the best match.
Even last year when I got mine, everyone seemed to be out of stock. I got the last one from Realtruck.com.

Re: Rubber Bed Mat
Does anyone know if a 72 truck bed is the same size as a 73 truck bed? Or are the dimensions different? I'm tempted to email the company below to get some pictures of what their bed mats look like.

Overall, I'm really pleased with it. The fit is damn near perfect for my 72 C10 long bed. The rubber is thick but very flexible, meaning it doesn't curl up on the ends. One thing I will add is if your truck sits outside or gets rained on a lot. I would not get a rubber mat. Water will sit underneath it. Luckily I have mine garaged otherwise I wouldn't use a rubber mat. |
