In need of some manifolds
Hey guys I've searched and cant seem to find this part number. I am swapping a 2000 tahoe 5.3/4l60e combo into my 69 C20 and am looking for some Trailblazer SS Exhaust manifolds. Found these on ebay but the part numbers dont seem to line up. Guys ad say trailblazer 6.0 but not much more. Can anyone confirm if these are TBSS or if not what they are and will they work? Thanks in advance!

Re: In need of some manifolds
All of the V8 Trailblazers (both 5.3L and 6.0L), as well as Buick Raineer, and GMC Envoy, use the same manifolds, so don't restrict your search to just the SS models. Also note that Dorman Products makes a rt. side manifold (but not a left. Don't know why). These manifolds are VERY similar to the truck pcs. (even the exhaust pipe flanges are the same) but tuck in closer to the block by about an inch or so. I used the Dorman manifold and a Raineer manifold for my swap

Re: In need of some manifolds
Hello Devil Pup. I hope all is well. If you only have a little interference, why don't you notch the frame in the area of the interference? I used trailblazer ss manifolds on my LSx swap, 1971 c10, and I had to notch the frame. I'm not a professional but in some cases, the LSx swappers that used the ss manifolds, without notching the frame, were able to accomplish this task due to the engine's installment being closer to the cab/fire wall. The c10 frame seems to taper outward, as the frame extends towards the firewall. Let me know if I'm wrong. Notch the frame or heat it with a torch and bend it. Good luck. Clark.

Do these have the same 3 bolt pattern as my stock LM7 collectors? Also can I run a truck manifold on one side and a camaro one on the other? other than looking funny will it cause any issues? |

Re: In need of some manifolds
2010-up Camaro manifolds have a 2 bolt flange, not the same as trucks. You can use different ones on each side, it wont hurt anything. Where are you located? I can't believe that the TBSS or equivalent are so hard to find?

Re: In need of some manifolds
A different one on both sides might work out because it only hits on the driver side. and im in Riverside California. Ive never seen a trailblazer SS in the junkyards and most the LS are picked to pieces when you do find em. Searched the local craigslist and haven't found anything.

Re: In need of some manifolds
car-part.com (no S) is the one you want to use to search wrecking yards.
TBSS headers clear most swap frames. Consider the variables tho: recipient vehicle, original motor position, which type of stands/perches the old motor used and which position they are in if applicable, which type of swap mounts are being used, what mount material (poly vs rubber). Each of these changes the relationship between frame and manifold. If an ultra-low clearance manifold is what you need, I believe Hooker also makes a low clearance log manifold very similar to the TBSS manifold for that type of fitment.

Re: In need of some manifolds
Carpart.com is just a parts listing for junkyards...they don't actually sell anything..if you find something on it you would have to contact the lister and set up buy/ship...think of it as craigslist for junk yards..
