Hi everyone,
I'm Dennis, and I'm the proud owner of a 1976 GMC Sierra Classic, since 2012.
I have it as a rolling project, as it has some small rust spots here and there, but overall it is a good solid car. It has a fresh 350 engine, and a TH400 gearbox.
As it is a project and and still wanted to drive, I figured to start working on the bed by taking it off and make it a temporary flat bed.
I'm also in the process of converting it to a 8 lug setup all around as when I bought the truck it already had the 8 lug axle on the rear, but since I am in the Netherlands, scavenging suspension parts is a bit of a hassle, but it's getting along, I already have the spindles, and still need the lower control arms, but I've found (thanks to this forum, and USA car parts sites ) that they were used on the Vans too. And those are quite the common sight here, all I need is a junkyard that saves parts that never break.
And as I bought mine, my dad figured that he couldn't stay behind and also bought a truck.
He has a 1974 GMC Sierra Grande, which we, well me mostly gave a bunch of new panels, and a fresh coat of paint 2 years ago, and because these cars are so easy to take apart and put back together, it was done in 3 months.
