54 gmc measurments

Hello
The 54 gmc truck I bought was hit and the frame bent. I am going to straighten out the cab but need some door measurements. Do anyone know where I could find them?

Get a copy of the factory assembly manual, It's well worth it.

Measurements are needed but you also have to have a good door to fit the cab to when you straighten it.

I got in a wreck with mine in the mid 70's that didn't bend the frame but wiped out the fender and bent the axle back almost 90 degrees along with tweaking the cab somewhat. My buddy and I got it back square but it took some work.

71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: 54 gmc measurments

Thanks for the link on the manual. I was looking for door opening measurments, height, width at several places, cross measurments between doors stuff I would need to try to straighten out the cab. Hopefully the manual will give me what I need.

Re: 54 gmc measurments

I need to take down measurements on my cabs that I plan to build my stretched cab with anyhow to have base numbers that pretty well match the numbers you need so I'll try to do it Friday morning if no one posts anything before hand. I have a copy of that assembly manual but don't remember if the measurements are in it.

Re: 54 gmc measurments

Thanks, will check back. Ordered the manual but won't know until I get it if the measurments are in it. I kind of doubt it so your measurments will be helpful.
