Thoughts on 6.0 upgrade options
I have had my swap done for 2 years. The truck is a 70 gmc. I put at LQ4 and 4L80e in it a couple years ago. I may have put 2000 miles on it since. Mostly due to being busy, starting a small business etc.
Anyways. The truck has been sitting. I drive it once every 2 months when I don't have alot going on. The thought has crossed my mind to upgrade it or sell it. I have a few upgrades in mind and wanted to get opinions on it. 1 243 heads, cam, stall, Tbss intake ( Cheapest option I have) 2 LS3 top end. Cam stall ( What I believe I would want to do after driving option 1 for awhile and getting bored with it and wanting more power. 3 Magnuson/ procharger mild cam/ stall ( always wanted a supercharged ride, but pricey) Now this is on a truck with lowered stock suspension disc brake conversion. So that would be the next upgrade but who knows when I could afford to do that. What are your thoughts?

Re: Thoughts on 6.0 upgrade options
sounds like your gonna spend a good deal of money on something you hardly drive....I would look into a turbo setup....I'm not sure how each of your options affect the performance of a lq4..but I'm making a stab at it and say option 2...

Re: Thoughts on 6.0 upgrade options
Option 3. You can buy a Magnuson Radix blower used for ~3K if you're patient. Or you can piece together a system using one of the LSA blower cores for the same or less. If you keep the cam mild, you don't need a stall. I built a 5.3 with a 212/218 comp cam (xr265hr I think) with a Radix blower (with a smaller pulley) and put down 444/496 to the wheels. That's about 12 lbs of boost and at the limit of the small blower.

Re: Thoughts on 6.0 upgrade options
if you are gonna do a head swap, I would go right to the LS3 type
exchanging 317's for 243's will net very little for the effort then once you have the LS3 heads on there....the used LSA blower bolts right on. Budget = blown LOL

Re: Thoughts on 6.0 upgrade options
I am thinking go LS3 top end, then blower down the road.
