Granny tranny

Just put a new 350 crate motor in my 72 shortbed c10.
Motor is pretty quick but it doesn’t like to go over about 55 mph without working too hard. Right now it’s has the stock 4 on the floor stock tranny with the granny first gear. Any suggestions on replacement tranny’s and vendors who sell them? Looking to keep it as a manual. Thanks

Re: Granny tranny

NV4500 would be a good choice for a truck style trans with the compound 1st. A TKO would be good if you want a car-type ratio spread.
