Painting Sun Visors

Are repro sun visors typically the same construction as factory; cardboard/fiberboard? If so, has anybody tried to paint them to match their interior? It looks like that's what they did at the factory.

What color do you think they originally were for 1966; Medium or Dark Fawn?

Re: Painting Sun Visors

I can't find my pics, they are on a memory stick somewhere but my 66 interior was fawn and the visors were a darker brown (fawn)? I painted them black with vinyl spray paint and they have held up fine for the last 5 years.

Re: Painting Sun Visors

I painted mine with the dark fawn 2K poly that I used on the dash. Worked fine.
