Unique Install Method - Rear Window Seal

https://youtu.be/rJ0QbDzzr2s

We just uploaded a new video to show a different more successful way of installing the rear window weatherstrip with chrome lockstrip. Anybody who has installed this knows how difficult it is to install the corner clips at the end. This video will give you a more successful approach with this install.

Let me know if you have any comments.

Yikes, makes me want to hire a pro. Seriously, thats a great how to on installing several items. I have never done any of it, but I'll be doing lock strip on Elwood soon. No doubt I would have attempted to install the corner piece last. This answers the questions we had about how its installed. I see the key to it all is patience, lubricant, and more patience.

Re: Unique Install Method - Rear Window Seal

This video is two weeks too late. I waited until the end for the clips and could never get them to seat. wound up just doing a 90 degree miter corner.

Thanks for the video.

Re: Unique Install Method - Rear Window Seal

Thanks for the comments. We too have struggled in getting the corners clips in as traditionally they go in last. We wanted to come up with a solution after many people asked how to get them in. Our in house glass tech, Greg came up with this way of doing this install with these painfully tough clips.

Great video. Thanks for making that. It's really nice to have step by step instructions to make jobs that we would pay for more diy.

Great video for the rubber gasket install, They scratched the crap out of the center molding with the tool they used.
