Old Steel Car show Union Gap WA
I grabbed the camera and ran up to the Central Washington Agriculture Museum at Fulbright Park in Union Gap (next to Yakima) yesterday for the Old Steel car club show which is one of the first outdoor shows in the area.
Not a lot of AD or TF trucks there but there were a few that are interesting. The Copper truck was the first vehicle I saw walking into the show and there are a few photos before you see an AD or TF. It's a real nice truck that I see at a lot of local shows. The 250 in the 34/5 coupe is for the inline brigade just to show a nice later series straight six all decked out nice. There are a couple of photos of the coupe in the album. The gas pumps are part of the the display of one of the more finished buildings of the museum. The building has a number of displays inside. The Museum is an ongoing work done by a fairly large group of volunteers who work on a few projects at a time. I could fill an album with just the different tractors they have in all stages of repair or the different styles of old mowers they have for mowing hay, grass or what ever.

A 54 with an early nose to stir the catfish folk up. Truck appears to get used as a truck with the diamondplate bed.

Re: Old Steel Car show Union Gap WA
This one gets my vote for the nicest truck in the show and one of the nicest vehicles overall in the show. I didn't get as good a shot of the sign board as I maybe should have but the gist of it is that the family continued the vision of what the original builder started and finished it.
All I can say about the tilt nose is that it looks very complicated.

Some Patina for the patina brigade with a shot or two of the interior and who doesn't like old Jeep pickups? Then we get the real deal Wild Kingdom Land Rover. That one an the Jeep looked like they were taking a break from running around the hills.

Re: Old Steel Car show Union Gap WA
In no specific order a really nifty camp trailer that would sure look great going down the road behind an AD or TF.
Then we have the prettiest gal in the park bar none in her Sunday finest posing in front of a straight axle Studebaker gasser. Some of the various mowers on display and a silo built with boards stacked on on top of the other. The rest of my photos of the event and a few of things at the museum are here https://robertdavison.smugmug.com/Ol...-show-4-23-18/ Again the Off topic warning for those who tend to not like things that don't go down a narrow scope. The only vehicles I didn't take photos of were those that were too new or had a cluster of people sitting in front of them. If you want your rig in my photos don't plant your lawn chair in front of it or clutter it with crap on the running boards. Or sit in it for that matter as I seldom take a photo of any vehicle with someone sitting inside.

Re: Old Steel Car show Union Gap WA
One last closing photo.
As some of the long time guys here know I am no fan of rat rods but this one is a bit special as it was one of the first outings for the car put together by a long time friend Rick Dillman He has had some nice rigs over the years including a white mid 30's Binder that he built that still shows up at events all over the Pnw and a real nice 67/72 shortie that was his daily for a long time even though it could have held it's own in a lot of shows. He had Rick's garage in Granger and Toppenish Wa for as long as I have know him and is retired and getting time to play with his toys.

Re: Old Steel Car show Union Gap WA
There was an article about the show that said that it had 247 entries. Year range from 1910 The Brass Model T to a 2018 Corvette fresh off the showroom floor.
A lot of folks enter their cars in this particular show simply because most of if not all of the money from entry fees and other things go to the museum. About the only ones I didn't take photos of were the under 5 year old billet wheel and nothing else rigs from one club/group and a few cars that had too many people sitting in front of them in lawn chairs or had too much litter around and on the cars. The event is just a great day to get out and see what folks did on their rides over the winter, see some vehicles you won't see anywhere else and visit with people you haven't seen for a while.
